This privacy policy describes
how IdeaBlade uses and safeguards Information
and resources you provide in using IdeaBlade
Software.
Explanation of Software and Service
IdeaBlade, Inc. provides the IdeaBlade Software
("Software") and IdeaBlade Services
("Services") under a variety of terms.
In some cases, IdeaBlade may require registration
prior to providing the Software or Services.
Use of Information
IDEABLADE DOES NOT SELL, RENT, LOAN, TRADE,
LEASE OR OTHERWISE TRANSFER ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION
COLLECTED THROUGH IDEABLADE SOFTWARE OR SERVICE
TO ANY THIRD PARTY. IDEABLADE WILL TREAT ANY
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO IDEABLADE AS CONFIDENTIAL
INFORMATION AND WILL NOT DISCLOSE IT TO ANY THIRD
PARTY. IDEABLADE MAY, HOWEVER, ENGAGE A THIRD
PARTY IN ORDER TO CARRY OUT IDEABLADE'S COMMUNICATION
AND/OR MARKETING, STRICTLY ON IDEABLADE'S BEHALF
AND UNDER IDEABLADE'S SUPERVISION. SUCH A THIRD
PARTY WILL BE BOUND TO THESE SAME CONFIDENTIALITY
CONDITIONS.
In the event that IdeaBlade and/or its units
or subsidiaries are ever sold, acquired, merged,
liquidated, reorganized, or otherwise transferred,
IdeaBlade reserves the right to transfer its
user databases together with any personally identifiable
information contained therein, to a third-party
acquiring IdeaBlade's assets. In the event IdeaBlade
does so, it will place a prominent notice of
the sale on the homepage of its corporate website,
with links to information as to how you can change
your privacy preferences.
What Information Do You Provide to us and How
Do We Use it?
When you use the IdeaBlade Services and Software
you provide two types of Information: (1) Personal
Information you actively choose to disclose to
IdeaBlade ("Personal Information")
and (2) information that you share or communicate
with other IdeaBlade Software users ("Shared
Information").
Personal information includes information which
is required in order to try or acquire the IdeaBlade
Software. This includes your registration information
and license information. It may also include
a password to access portions of our site intended
for registered users. This information is stored
centrally by IdeaBlade. Personal information
may also include any billing information if you
decide to purchase Software or Services from
IdeaBlade. Billing information is stored securely
by IdeaBlade or it's third party billing provider
according to local laws and regulations (please
see the applicable Terms of Service at time of
purchase). Billing information is only stored
in order to comply with local regulations and
to provide you with accurate billing information
and service.
The IdeaBlade website may also contain feedback
forms where feedback can be reported directly
to IdeaBlade employees. Any and all information
which is voluntarily submitted in such feedback
forms are used for the purposes of reviewing
this feedback and improving the IdeaBlade Software
and Services. IdeaBlade reserves the right to
utilize this information for marketing purposes,
for instance by displaying selected comments
on its website or in other communications. If
IdeaBlade chooses to display a user-submitted
comment it will either display it anonymously,
stripping away all personally identifiable information,
or request permission directly from you before
displaying it.
From time to time, IdeaBlade may send you surveys
or solicit your feedback. IdeaBlade uses surveys
to gauge user interest in new products and premiums
it may offer. IdeaBlade will use the information
it gathers to improve its site, Software, and
services and to provide a more meaningful experience
for its users. IdeaBlade may also use the information
to alert you to offers and products of IdeaBlade
in which you have expressed an interest.
Shared Information includes any information
you enter into an IdeaBlade public space such
as a tutorial database, a user forum, an IdeaBlade-sponsored
news group, or a Wiki user-maintained help system.
Because such information is widely accessible
and not under Ideablade's control IdeaBlade cannot
ensure its confidentiality nor restrain others
from making commercial use of that information.
IdeaBlade itself will treat such information
in the same confidential manner as "Personal
Information" and will delete any such information
at your request as described below.
No Extraneous System Information Collected
No information concerning your computing facilities
is collected that is not related to providing
IdeaBlade Services, including other installed
software systems, non-service-related content,
or hardware peripherals. No information about
your specific computing facilities will be provided
to any third party unless required by the Terms
of Service for Services with which you've registered.
No Provision of Information to Third Parties
Without Your Permission
IdeaBlade will not sell, rent, lease or otherwise
provide Personal Information to any third party
- with the exception of a third party it has
hired to carry out its communications and/or
marketing, as set forth above - unless required
by the Terms of Service for Services with which
you've registered.
Software Installation
IdeaBlade Software is installed on computers
with an installer downloaded from www.IdeaBlade.com
or in combination with other software or web
sites. IdeaBlade Services may also be provided
through other applications that utilize the IdeaBlade
Software. These applications are required to
display the IdeaBlade End User License Agreement
before the Software is installed. You can uninstall
the IdeaBlade Software from the standard Windows
Control Panel at any time.
Software Updates
The IdeaBlade Software may contain update functionality.
This enables the software to determine that there
is a newer version available, which has improved
or new functionality and/or bug fixes. You will
be asked for your permission before an update
is performed unless you have specifically authorized
IdeaBlade to automatically update the IdeaBlade
Software without notification. The IdeaBlade
Software may however update non-program files
from time to time without asking you. These updates
are only used to update file indices, configurations
and other non-critical objects. These updates
only pertains to executable files.
Delete/Deactivation Policy
If you wish to delete any Personal Information
or Shared Information you submitted to IdeaBlade,
Inc., you may do so by contacting us at info@ideablade.com.
We will notify you of our receipt of your request.
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to
functionally delete the specific information
you identity or all such information (excluding
any information necessary in order to detect
fraudulent use) from our database within fifteen
working days from the date of the receipt of
your request. Please note that it may be impossible
to delete data entries without some residual
Information because of backups and records of
deletions. IdeaBlade reserves the right not to
delete information in order to comply with applicable
local laws or regulations.
Length of Time Data Will Be Stored
Unless you request that we delete Information
that you submitted to IdeaBlade sooner, we will
store Personal and Shared Information for a period
of two years or for the period of time required
in applicable laws and regulations, whichever
is greatest. At the conclusion of that time,
all such Information will be deleted.
Risks and Disclaimers
Please be careful and responsible whenever you're
online. If you post personal information online
that is accessible to the public, you may receive
unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
While we strive to protect your Information,
IdeaBlade cannot ensure or warrant the security
of any Information you transmit to us except
for information specifically covered by IdeaBlade's
End User License Agreement or Privacy Policy.
Your use of IdeaBlade Software and Services is
at your own risk.
